WHAT TO EXPECT ~ Located in a plain of centuries-old olive trees with the sea on the horizon, Masseria Montenapoleone is the result of an eco-sustainable restoration project by the Monteneve family, which began in the first decade of 2000. The original soul of the farm has been preserved, creating an environment that combines experiences and emotions. Here, the aesthetics of the historic structure blend with innovative details, influenced by different cultures that have left their mark on local traditions. Contemporary art installations made with old traditional tools as decoration, an open-air workout zone, and a pool are among the highlights of the hidden gardens that surround the farm. Prices start at 120 euros per night.
FOOD PHILOSOPHY ~ The Masseria offers three restaurants that serve seasonal dishes reinterpreting local traditions with a touch of innovation. Moreover, this organic farmhouse produces fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, and wine, with a focus on sustainability. The onsite production is complemented by continuous research into the best Apulian producers of meat, dairy products, and fish, with a sustainable approach.
COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY ~ The Masseria’s owners are committed to promoting and protecting biodiversity, cultivating the land by respecting a long rural tradition and following organic agricultural methods. They respect crop rotation and cultivate many ancient seeds while supporting native species to preserve the identity of the Apulian territory. The Masseria has also implemented renewable energy solutions, including a photovoltaic system, the latest generation of solar panels, and a biomass system. Masseria Montenapoleone earned a certification by ICEA BIO as an Organic Producer.
