YOUR GET-TOGETHER HOLIDAY IN VENICE

Are you planning a friend or family get-together in Italy? How about renting a design-apartment in the heart of Venice? By being a destination that you can easily explore on foot and proposing a cultural landscape for all tastes, if you are planning a group trip, Venice might be a great choice. This Travel Experience is for culturally curious travellers looking for an Italian escape to spend some time with their dear ones in a vibrant town, as well as immersing in the local culture trough the exclusive experiences proposed below.

With BeMyJourney you have the chance to visit a destination that is usually linked to the concept of over-tourism, with the right approach. How? By travelling off-season, having a slow stay and supporting local traditions.

___________

SUGGESTED LENGTH

Five days to one week. Staying here longer than a typical weekend, you will feel like a local and discover the real charm of this timeless destination. Venice has a wide cultural landscape and by organising your get-together holiday with BeMyJourney, you’ll get a personalised guide, including a list of little known places, neighbourhoods and nearby islands to be explored during your stay. Get in touch with Andrea to learn more.

SUGGESTED SEASON

All year round, but during autumn and winter, the mists that immerse the little bridges create the most magical atmosphere making the town look suspended. For example, how about the carnival weeks 12th February – 1st March 2022?

By proposing to rent a full house, Casa Flora, this Travel Experience offers a stay that is ideal for 6 people. If instead, you are planning a romantic escape, with BeMyJourney I partner with other beautiful boutique hotels in town. Get in touch with Andrea to learn more or if you are interested in picking her brain to discover the most secret spots in Venezia.

THE EXPERIENCES

These two exclusive experiences, reserved to the guests of Casa Flora, will allow you to connect with locals, learning more about their traditions and feel like a Venetian.

RIALTO MARKET LIKE A LOCAL

Wherever in the world, the food market is one of the most intimate places you could visit to observe the locals’ daily life, while the voices of those announcing “unmissable deals” guide you through the food stalls. The open-air Rialto Market is a crowded crosswalk as early as the first morning hours and one of the most fascinating and still authentic places in Venice, where high-quality local produce has been offered since always. Imagine if you could explore it with a regular visitor, a Venetian restaurateur, feeling part of a local’s routine, learning a few secrets of the Italian cuisine and buying genuine ingredients to experiment with your culinary skills at Casa Flora‘s kitchen. With this exclusive experience, a local restaurateur takes you to Rialto Market while she is shopping for her restaurant. Afterwards, you can prepare your own meal by having a cooking class at Casa Flora, or taste a fresh local meal at the restaurant of your shopping buddy.

This is a tailor-made experience. Write to Andrea to learn more.

THE SQUERO

Discovering a destination by getting to know the origins of its local traditions is something we often do. However,  “travel” becomes “experience” if we don’t learn about them in a book, but rather by meeting some of the locals who are keeping these traditions alive. The gondola is the most popular symbol of Venice and attending this exclusive experience at the Squero Tramontin, you will learn more about its origin and story. Here, you do not feel like entering a common boatyard, but rather stepping into someone’s home. And so it is because, on this shore of Venice, the Tramontin family has been building and repairing handcrafted gondole for 136 years. Elena and Elisabetta, daughters of Roberto Tramontin, today run the squero with perseverance and love for the family’s art. During this experience, while Elena will share some anecdotes of their traditional craftmanship, you will admire Elisabetta at work, taking care of the restoration process.

This is a tailor-made experience. Write to Andrea to learn more.
