Italy off the beaten track

UNEXPECTED PATH

WHAT : Whatever the country you choose to visit, make sure to include off-the-beaten-path destinations within your itinerary. I do not mean to ignore Angkor Wat if you visit Cambodia, or Rome once you are in Italy, but keep exploring beyond that.

WHY : Taking your exploration beyond obvious destinations, you will be able to grasp the real charm of a country while supporting local communities that are not in the tourist spotlight.

> When you visit remote places it is likely to find more authenticity.

How to pack light

PACKING LIGHT

WHAT : Try to pack the minimum that you can!

WHY : First of all, a lighter bag has a lighter impact on the environment. Moreover, keeping your luggage light, you will have more space to fit local products getting home unique decorations, garments and accessories that will make you stand out.

> Pack items you can mix and match and that work well day and night, you can always play with accessories! Get inspired here

bring your own water bottle

BRING YOUR WATER

WHAT : Always take with you a reusable water bottle!

WHY : The amount of waste you will save is incredible: we consume approximately 1460 single used water bootle per year (source: Arcadia, 2017). Plus, you will always have cool water by hand.

> The bottle in the picture was a gift from Borgo Egnazia. All their guests get a reusable bottle at their arrival so they can carry it with them wherever they go!
